Poems

Every day I wake up to racism
Just cause I’m a different color
They say I can’t hang with them
I’m always getting pushed out of line
White people think that they’re better
But my mama always told me I’m fine

For what it’s worth
We were born in the same place at birth
And why do all the white kids know
The road I need to go?
I want to live life like the rest
Without having a bulletproof vest
I want to be free from racial inequality
And be a part of humanity

I am protesting for what is right

I dont intend to kill or fight

Just trying to get mty point accross

This is all free, no cost

Here comes the army

They are coming for me

And everbody knows,

They are bringing out the hose.

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Im black

Your white

Lets be friends too

Dr. King has done so much

To get us to the front of the line at lunch

He didnt die for our cause

Just to see it dizzolve

We should all be free

Through life, hapiness and liberty

So let us be who we are

So we can go far
